Maxim is from Cyprus and began tattooing professionally in Larnaca before building his career across Europe and Norway. With more than a decade of experience and thousands of clients, he specialises in black & grey realism, Japanese-inspired work, blackwork, graphic tattoos and large custom projects — sleeves, chest pieces and difficult cover-ups. He is known for being direct: if a design is too small, badly placed or unlikely to age well, he will say so rather than tattoo something he does not believe in.
As the founder of Ink Story, he built the studio from a personal obsession with tattooing into an international name, working today between Kristiansand and Larnaca on selected bookings. He is proudest of large transformation projects — sleeves, chest pieces and cover-ups where a tired old tattoo or a scar becomes something a client is glad to show again — and cares obsessively about composition and how a piece flows with the body. He speaks English, Greek and Russian.
I tattoo because I like creating something that becomes part of a person's identity. A tattoo has to look good now, heal properly, age well and work with the body — it is not just about drawing something nice.
